OTEC MAG-30
The OTEC MAG-30 is a stand-alone industrial magnetic finishing system designed for high-throughput jewellery workshops requiring repeatable post-cast refinement, surface burnishing, and general clean-up within a single platform.
Built around a heavy-duty drive system with precision frequency control and a touchscreen interface, the MAG-30 allows full programming of RPM, cycle time, and real-time process monitoring during operation. Strong base magnetics combined with high-grade inverter technology ensure stable, consistent pin action across the entire working bowl, delivering reliable finishing results batch after batch.
Supplied with 300 g of European-made magnetic pins, the system is engineered for aggressive yet controlled surface refinement, outperforming conventional magnetic pin units in both finish consistency and cycle efficiency.
Three Defined Process Capabilities
- Raw Casting Brightening (0.50 × 5.00 mm pins)
Brightens raw casted pieces that come after vapour honing, producing a uniform, high-lustre surface suitable and most desirable for bench jewellers to begin casting clean-up. - Surface burnishing after casting clean-up (0.30 × 5.00 mm pins)
Refines and burnishes the casted surfaces following initial casting cleaning behind the behind (typically #600 grit equivalent), improving overall smoothness and preparing all casted pieces for downstream OTEC post-processing systems such as CF disc finishing and/or EF electro-polishing. - Casting tree and button clean-up (1.00 × 7.00 mm pins)
Provides controlled mechanical cleaning and polishing of larger and heavier casting remnants such as left over casting trees and buttons, reducing manual clean-up time and improving workflow efficiency for casting houses.
